Instructions for patients before anaesthesia at booker oral surgery: no eating or drinking 8 hours prior, no smoking 12 hours before, have a responsible adult present, wear loose clothing, remove jewelry and dentures, and inform the office of any illnesses.

The removal of impacted teeth is a serious surgical procedure. Post-operative care is very important. Unnecessary pain and the complications of infection and swelling can be minimized if the instructions are followed carefully.

After tooth extraction, it’s important for a blood clot to form to stop the bleeding and begin the healing process. Do not rinse vigorously, suck on straws, smoke, drink alcohol, or brush teeth next to the extraction site for 72 hours.

Instructions after dental implant surgery: Avoid disturbing the wound, control bleeding by biting on gauze, apply ice to reduce swelling, stick to a soft diet, manage pain with medication, take prescribed antibiotics, maintain good oral hygiene, limit physical activity, and avoid using dentures immediately post-surgery.

After exposure of an impacted tooth, maintain oral hygiene, control bleeding with pressure, minimize swelling with ice, and follow dietary and pain management guidelines for faster healing. Remember to limit physical activity and monitor your nourishment intake to aid in recovery.

A small amount of bleeding is normal post-operation. Apply pressure with gauze or a tea bag. Use ice packs, take pain medication as needed, finish antibiotics if prescribed. Drink plenty of fluids, follow a soft diet, and rinse with salt water. Expect swelling, sore throat, and dry lips. Call the office if pain persists or symptoms worsen.
